About me...
We are a mother and son team. Terri Lee taught Kale how to rifle hunt as a young lad. Kale has taught Terri Lee a thing or two about bow hunting. Together we will be bringing you interesting videos and stories about our hunting. Add Kale's two year old sister into the mix and we could have a doozy year!

Mystery of the 9pt. Solved!

Just found out that the 9pt that I wounded was shot and killed by a neighbor kid the night before Halloween.

The right front leg was busted off just under the shoulder. This certainly makes sense of the loud horrible crack after I shot when I thought I had hit a tree.

It also makes sense that the day I discovered that my bow sites were loose, I was shooting low and to the right which would place the shot in that very area.

While I am sad that I did not get to recover that buck, I am glad to p… Continue

NeverGuess Range Finder

My biggest obstacle in bow hunting has been the fact that I don’t judge distance very well. Maybe it is the fact that I didn’t ever need to when rifle hunting in the woods of Wisconsin, or maybe it was that I was learning how far away things were, from other people that really couldn’t judge distance either.… Continue

We set out again to the stands. I have decided if the 9pt came in again tonight I am going to whack him. We have changed our strategy slightly again. This time we parked the wheeler and walked into the stand.

We got into the stand sometime shortly before 5. Around 5:40 we started hearing noise behind us. Sure enough he was back. This time we thought he had spotted Joe and started to move away. Joe used the bleet can and he quickly sw… Continue

We have washed all of the clothing again. We decided not to put them in pine boughs this time. We also changed where we parked the 4 wheeler when we went in.

We baited the stand as usual and Joe parked in the new spot. Just before dark I heard noises in front of the bait. Joe heard noise behind us. He tapped me on the head and pointed toward a buck that was coming in. The buck was coming from behind us where the 9 had come in t… Continue

I've been hunting on that road for 35 years. I hunted out of a trailer with my great aunt and uncle for 20 years. Lots of good memories on that road.

well i looked for that hog all day on my hands and knees following specks of blood and hoof prints! i traced him about 600 yards or so and he never once layed down, which makes me believe hes not hit hard. I probably hit him in the shoulder shield and didnt get very good penetration but then again i never found the arrow either so maybe stuck in front of the shoulder just didnt hit any vitals or arteries. thanks for the support though fellas if hes still alive i will find him again he didnt even know he was shot it happened so quick and the feeder is still there.
